Bugatti Magnum by Hugh Conway and Maurice Sauzay - English edition.

Another fine example of the best Bugatti publication to date covering the entire Bugatti motor car history and model range from 1900-1963.

Rare hardback, limited first edition in silver engine turned finish slipcase with Bugatti chassis plate bearing the limited edition book number 540. The book is in the original blue cloth binding with the Bugatti logo on the front and back covers and the titles in silver gilt on the spine.

This book measures 328 x 250 mm, it has 559 pages and is profusely illustrated with black and white and colour photographs, diagrams, plans and drawings.

The Magnum covers virtually everything on the classic Bugatti, not only the features of the various Bugatti cars, but also the rest of the Bugatti story. This includes a study of the achievements of the other members of the Bugatti family regarding furniture design, silversmithing, sculpture, painting, engineering & design, the atmosphere at Molsheim and its factory.

New information is included about the boats, horse drawn coaches, aero engines, railcars and aeroplane design.

The slipcase is perfect, the title on the spine has minor scuffing and the boards have very light marking, the contents are immaculate. Overall a very nice copy of a rare highly sought-after Bugatti motoring book.

A true collectors item for the Bugattiste, and collectors of Bugatti items, rare motoring books, the Bugatti marque and those interested in Bugatti, motoring history, classic cars, and French marques, car design, prewar motor sport and racing, company and transport history.
